Sulca is a software tool to perform Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) in a reliable and transparent manner. It can be used to accurately calculate the environmental, carbon and water footprints for evaluating sustainability and environmental performance of a product, process, technology, and other systems. It is developed and applicable to e.g. research, product development, and education purposes.

In Sulca, results are presented in a comprehensive and user-friendly interface that includes charts and reports of different environmental and sustainability-related key performance indicators (KPIs). Sulca interface also offers a configuration canvas to carry out LCA modeling and to perform life-cycle inventory (LCI) and impact assessment (LCIA) calculations.

Environmental impact assessment based on reliable and systematic methods

Sulca relies on the LCA methodology for assessing environmental impacts associated with all the stages of the life cycle of a commercial product, process, or service. Starting from raw material extraction and processing, all the way through the product's manufacture, distribution and use, to the recycling and disposal of the materials composing it. LCA is a methodology standardized in the ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
